RaceSpot to Produce Race Day and Primetime Qualifying Broadcasts at PRI Hoosier 500

INDIANAPOLIS – Continuing a relationship that began with the PRI Hoosier 500’s inaugural running in 2019, RaceSpot will produce the event’s race day broadcast once again in 2025. Additionally, RaceSpot will lead production on primetime final-hour coverage of Pole Day and Bump Day qualifications.
The race day and qualifying primetime broadcasts will air across the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Facebook and YouTube channels, carrying a cumulative 700,000 followers.
“We are pleased to reunite with RaceSpot once again for this year’s edition of the PRI Hoosier 500 Mile Race,” said Tanner Watkins, president and co-owner of the PRI Hoosier 500. “RaceSpot has been the industry leader in the sim racing broadcasting space for quite some time, and we expect them to bring another tremendous presentation of our race to viewers in the month of December.”
RaceSpot produces more than 200 live events annually and has amassed nearly three million viewers on its YouTube channel over time. Their work has appeared across multiple TV networks both live and on highlights packages, including Eurosport, Sport 1, Ziggo Sports, BT Sport, Motors TV and more.
RaceSpot’s team has also helped in the production of events alongside iRacing on FS1 and NBCSN.
“To be entrusted with covering the PRI Hoosier 500 for the fifth year is an honor for our entire team,” said Hugo Luis Calmon Marins, executive producer at RaceSpot. “This event has grown into one of sim racing’s crown jewels—capturing the history, intensity, and emotion of 500 miles at Indianapolis in a way that feels bigger than just a racing game. Being part of telling that story year after year is something we’re incredibly proud of.”
RaceSpot’s production of the PRI Hoosier 500 race day broadcast as well as primetime (7-8 p.m. ET) Pole Day and Bump Day qualifications will air live on the Performance Racing Industry Facebook and YouTube channels.
More details on the full event’s broadcast schedule will be released in the fall.
Returning as a leading voice on the race broadcast for the fourth consecutive running of the PRI Hoosier 500 will be Arjuna Kankipati, who served as owner and president of the event from 2021 to 2024. Kankipati will be joined by Gary Godsoe of P1 Broadcasting in the booth, as well as a driver analyst yet to be announced.
“I’m thrilled to be a part of the PRI Hoosier 500 broadcast team for a fourth time,” said Kankipati. “I was fortunate to be trusted to host the event in 2022 and 2024, a responsibility that drove home just how special this event is in its unique effort to simulate the pageantry that is the Month of May.
“I’ve been very excited to follow as Ryan and Tanner have grown the event to new heights and I expect the tension of Qualifying Weekend to be at an all-time high as we reach the end of Bump Day and find our 33 qualifiers for the 2025 PRI Hoosier 500!”
The competitor registration period for this year’s PRI Hoosier 500 opens on October 1 and will close on November 3. There is no fee to enter, and interested individuals can learn more by visiting TheHoosier500.com/Competitors.
