PRI Hoosier 500
Quick Hits
iRacing’s Most Authentic “500”
Through professional officiating standards and key “500” traditions that the iRacing Indy 500 cannot provide, the PRI Hoosier 500 is the gold standard 500-mile race on the service.
Open to All Sim Racers
The PRI Hoosier 500 uniquely features a race purse for competitors without requiring an entry fee. We encourage all sim racers to compete for a spot in the field.
Indiana Owned and Operated
Co-owners Ryan Schuld and Tanner Watkins are veterans of the motorsport industry and are committed to growing the event as a symbol of the Hoosier State.
What Makes the PRI Hoosier 500 Great

Three-Wide Race Start
Eleven rows of three. There’s nothing quite like the excitement found at the start of a 500-mile race at Indianapolis. We bring that excitement to the virtual track with 33 of the best sim racers in the world properly aligned for a thrilling start to 200 laps of action. Due to limitations with the standard iRacing Race Control model, the iRacing Indy 500 cannot accommodate this starting formation.

Traditional Two-Day Qualifications
Pole Day and Bump Day mean something again. Qualifications Weekend begins with the battle for pole on Saturday, with the fastest driver at the end of the day leading the field to green in the “500.” Sunday is reserved for setting the field, with the fastest 33 drivers making the race. Competitors get three attempts to qualify, and day one times are gridded ahead of day two times – just like it used to be.
