Indy NXT Dallara IL-15 Coming to iRacing in September

Dallara IL-15 on iRacing

In a highly-anticipated announcement this afternoon as part of iRacing’s 2025 season four development blog, the esports leader publicized the introduction of the Dallara IL-15 to the simulation with this September’s quarterly update.

The Dallara IL-15 is the official spec car of the INDY NXT series. This sleek, turbocharged single-seater delivers 450 horsepower from a 2.0-liter engine, offering sim racers a fast yet approachable option for competitive racing. Within the iRacing platform, the IL-15 is classified as Class C and will feature in both Road and Oval Fixed series.

Furthermore, the Dallara IL-15 will now become the sole car in competition for the PRI Hoosier 500’s Veterans 100 support event, to run on Saturday, December 13 ahead of the next day’s 500-mile race.

Built with authenticity in mind, the IL-15 boasts a full carbon-fiber monocoque chassis and integrated Halo safety device, mirroring the real-world design that prepares rising stars for INDYCAR competition. Its suspension ensures precision handling, while the aerodynamic package strikes the right balance of drag and downforce—providing stability on high-speed ovals and agility through technical road courses.

The car features a six-speed sequential gearbox with the inclusion of push-to-pass on road courses, granting an extra 50 horsepower at the press of a button. Drivers can manage their remaining boost time via an on-screen gauge, recreating the tactical element that defines the real-world INDY NXT championship.
