p1 Broadcasting to Lead 2025 PRI Hoosier 500 Practice and Qualifications Productions

INDIANAPOLIS – The PRI Hoosier 500 is excited to formalize a portion of its streaming plans for the 2025 race, aligning with P1 Broadcasting to produce all qualifying and practice broadcasts for the fifth edition of the World’s Greatest Sim Race. Additionally, P1 Broadcasting productions will air on the Elite Racing Network for select practice broadcasts.
P1 Broadcasting will produce primetime final-hour broadcasts for Pole Day and Bump Day qualifications (December 6-7) on the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Facebook and YouTube channels. Furthermore, P1 Broadcasting will carry full coverage of qualifications on its YouTube when not being aired on PRI channels in addition to practice week coverage.
“Our team is thrilled to align with a prominent name in sim racing as P1 Broadcasting takes a leading role in producing coverage of the 2025 PRI Hoosier 500,” said Tanner Watkins, president and co-owner of the PRI Hoosier 500. “Gary Godsoe has done a fine job in building P1 as a rising name in the sim racing community and we are excited to partner with them to deliver our competitors, fans, and stakeholders the coverage commensurate with the World’s Greatest Sim Race.”
“I’ve gotten to know P1 and ERN well over the last few years, and to have their teams be a part of The Hoosier 500 means a great deal,” said Ryan Schuld, chief development officer and co-owner of the PRI Hoosier 500. “They’re both going to play a part in continuing to elevate the event as we lead into the race this December!”
P1 Broadcasting is an eSports broadcaster specializing in online IndyCar style sim racing on the iRacing platform. P1 Broadcasting is the home to several prominent leagues and events on the iRacing service, including IndyCar iRacing Series, the iRacing IndyCar Oval Series, the Internet Sim Racing Association, Dark Horse Racing Series, Formula Indy Series, Horizon IndyCar Series, Classic IndyCar Series Winter Series, and the eGrand Prix Racing Hypercar Championship.
“As a lifelong resident of Indianapolis and a passionate IndyCar fan, being part of the PRI Hoosier 500 is a great honor,” said Gary Godsoe, the owner of P1 Broadcasting. “Growing up, my memories of the ‘Greatest Spectacle in Racing’ were shaped by the excitement I felt listening to the race on the radio, with the iconic voices of Paul Page, Bob Jenkins, and Mike King as my soundtrack. The energy and tradition of race day in Indy are unparalleled, and I feel privileged to contribute to this production, bringing the magic of this incredible event to life for the fans and virtual racing community.”
Providing commentary on practice and qualifying broadcasts alongside Godsoe will be sim racing veterans Luis Gonzalez and Andrew Wood.
“I am deeply honored and thrilled to be part of the PRI Hoosier 500 broadcast team,” said Gonzalez. “The Indy 500 has always held a special place in my heart – my first introduction was through the legendary South American voices of Jorge Koechlin and Alex Pombo in 1995, when my hero Eliseo Salazar made his debut. Later, with the advent of the internet, I discovered the magic of Paul Page and Bob Jenkins, which only deepened my fascination. I am equally confident and excited to contribute to this incredible production.”
“The PRI Hoosier 500 is a classic and iconic race that continues its transformation to one of the largest IndyCar races on the calendar,” said Wood. “Practicing, qualifying, and competing in this race takes dedication, grit, and patience. As a 2-time entrant in the previous versions, it was a pleasure to be a part of such an awesome event. I am excited to see the action from the booth this year and I can’t wait to see cars on track again and see these drivers put their all into it!”
Supporting P1 Broadcasting in coverage of PRI Hoosier 500 practice will be the Elite Racing Network, where select sessions will be aired in the lead-up to the 2025 race. The Elite Racing Network is the home of the Elite Racing League, which offers a variety of leagues on iRacing across multiple disciplines and skill levels.
“It’s an honor to be working with the PRI Hoosier 500 and their staff for this year’s event,” said Chad Frankenfield, owner of the Elite Racing League. “The Elite Racing Networks hosts over 180 nights of sim racing annually, and adding PRI Hoosier 500 practice nights to the channel is a great opportunity for our network. I want to thank Tanner and Ryan for asking us to be a part of it!”
More details on specific practice and qualifying network assignments – as well as the 2025 PRI Hoosier 500’s race week production team – will be announced at a later date. Stay tuned to PRI Hoosier 500 social media channels for further announcements towards coverage of the World’s Greatest Sim Race.
