Competitor Entry Period Opens for PRI Hoosier 500

INDIANAPOLIS – The entry period for competitors to register their place at the 2025 PRI Hoosier 500 Mile Race has opened. Racers who will attempt to qualify for the fifth running of the World’s Greatest Sim Race have until November 3 at 11:00 p.m. Eastern (U.S.) to place an entry.

Since the race’s inaugural running in 2019, drivers from more than 25 countries across the globe and more than half of all American states have battled to make the coveted field of 33. Another stout field of iRacing’s best open-wheel drivers are expected to compete for a significant prize pool – including physical and cash prizes – this December.

“The first day of the entry period is always an exciting day for everyone involved in organizing this race,” says Tanner Watkins, president and co-owner of the PRI Hoosier 500. “A lot of work goes into getting to this point, and it is awesome to see the list of competitors come together over the next month. We look forward to welcoming sim racing’s best back to the Brickyard.”

There is no entry fee for competitors to register an entry towards the 2025 PRI Hoosier 500. Prospective racers must have at least a C 4.00 oval safety rating on iRacing in order to be eligible, and number selection will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. The number 1 is reserved for the reigning race winner, which is Phil Kraus.

The PRI Hoosier 500 is officiated by Open-Wheels Motorsports Sanctioning, as it has been since 2019.
