Full Broadcast Schedule Unveiled for 2025 PRI Hoosier 500 Mile Race

INDIANAPOLIS – The PRI Hoosier 500 has released the full broadcast schedule for this year’s event, with each second of on-track activity covered across the race’s two weeks of thrilling action. The broadcast plans are the culmination of months of planning across Performance Racing Industry (PRI), RaceSpot, P1 Broadcasting, Elite Racing Network, and the Hoosier 500.

“We are pumped to roll out our coverage plans for this year’s PRI Hoosier 500,” said Tanner Watkins, president and co-owner of the Hoosier 500. “This event is bringing together great partners across the motorsports and sim racing communities to offer unparalleled coverage of the PRI Hoosier 500 in 2025. It only adds to the spectacle and grandeur of this race, and we can’t wait to hit the track in December.”

Race day coverage on Sunday, December 14 will begin on the Hoosier 500 YouTube channel with a special edition of Today at the 500 Pre-Race from 9:00 to 11:00 AM Eastern. At the conclusion of that, coverage will shift to the PRI Facebook and YouTube pages for pre-race ceremonies at 11:00 AM, and the race start just after Noon Eastern.

Taking a look at the opening week of activity, each day of practice will be anchored by Today at the 500 on either the P1 Broadcasting or Elite Racing Network YouTube channels – from 8:00 to 9:00 PM Eastern on December 1-5.

In addition to those productions, there will be livestreams without commentary on the Hoosier 500 YouTube for all practice time not covered by the traditional Today at the 500 timeslot.

For Swift Penguin Creations Qualifications Weekend (Saturday, December 6 and Sunday, December 7) a race control livestream will be available all day on the Hoosier 500 YouTube channel. The drama builds to primetime coverage on the PRI Facebook and YouTube pages from 7:00 to 8:00 PM Eastern each day.

When the calendar turns to race week, there will be one final practice day on Monday, December 8 which features day-long livestreaming on the Hoosier 500 YouTube as well as the Today at the 500 show from the standard 8:00 to 9:00 PM Eastern timeslot on Elite Racing Network.

In a race day appetizer, Shakedown Saturday on December 13 will feature a trio of noteworthy on-track activities – all on P1 Broadcasting. This includes final practice at 12:30 p.m., the Anderson Speedway Veterans 100 support race at 2:00 p.m., and Visitor Watch Co. Pit Stop Competition at 3:00 p.m. – all times Eastern.

P1 Broadcasting will be making its debut as a broadcast partner at the PRI Hoosier 500, which includes Gary Godsoe joining Arjuna Kankipati on the call for race day on Sunday, December 14. The moment isn’t lost on Godsoe, an Indianapolis native.

“It’s well known in the community about my love of IndyCar and the pageantry of the Indianapolis 500,” said Godsoe. “As a kid, the radio became the soundtrack to my race days — Paul Page, Bob Jenkins, and Mike King brought the action to life long before I ever saw it on TV. I’ll never forget 1985, listening as Danny Sullivan spun in front of Mario Andretti. With the blackout in Indy, we couldn’t see it live, so Paul Page and Ron Carrell’s words had to carry that moment for hours until the replay that night. That’s the power of a color commentator: painting the picture and making moments stick.

“To now share the booth with Arjuna Kankipati is an incredible honor,” continues Godsoe. “He’s the GOAT — the benchmark of what an IndyCar commentator should be — and if I can do half as well as him, I’ll consider it a huge step forward. Ryan Schuld and Tanner Watkins have done a fantastic job building this race into one of sim racing’s undisputed crown jewels, and I’m excited to do my part in making this PRI Hoosier 500 a moment our whole community will remember.”

Joining Godsoe on P1 Broadcasting and Elite Racing Network broadcasts prior to race day will be Luis Gonzalez as well as Andrew Wood. The duo will provide analysis in the buildup to race day at this year’s PRI Hoosier 500.

“I’m incredibly excited for the opportunity to be part of practice for the PRI Hoosier 500 as a commentator,” said Gonzalez. “It’s an honor to join such a prestigious event while bringing the energy, strategy, and heart of the race to fans everywhere. I can’t wait to help showcase the talent and passion that make this event so special!”

“I’m beyond excited to be joining the broadcast team for the iconic PRI Hoosier 500,” noted Wood. “It’s been something I’ve really looked forward to, and now that it’s almost here, the anticipation is growing.”
